Caleb helped Jenna around the school, parting with an offer to get her some free ringtones if her phone ever broke when the bell for class went off. He stood in the corridor, suddenly realising he didn’t have a clue what his first class was and if he went to reception now he could be late. Typical. Early for school, late for class. Of course his first day wouldn’t go according to plan. He sighed irritably and turned abruptly on the linoleum to plough through the kids heading in the opposite direction.
Caleb was on time, infact, he was actually pretty early, for the first time ever in his high school career.
Guess that was one benefit of crashing at school.
He got up about half 8 to grab a shower before the teachers got there and loitered outside the building inconspicuously…
Caleb was just crouching down to prize the can from the gutter of the vending machine when a tapping noise distracted him and he looked up to see a girl with dark hair and shades cautiously feeling her way down the corridor, frustration clear on her face. He stood up and cracked open the drink, downing half of it in one go and swiftly covering his mouth to hold in a belch. Watching her struggle, his curiosity and general good manners got the better of him and he made his way over. Careful to make himself known by clearing his throat, touching her lightly on the elbow and asking:
“Hey, are you o.k.? Do you need any help?”

He got up about half 8 to grab a shower before the teachers got there and loitered outside the building inconspicuously until the students began to arrive. He tried to blend into the background, even if he was aware that with his too-long hair and hobo-chique clothes meant he stood out from the crowd more often than not. His hair was finally drying as he tagged onto a stream of kids heading through the front entrance to Rosewood and he headed straight for a vending machine to get a coke so he wouldn’t be too zombified today. Next stop: publicising himself as a go-to guy for cell-phones and electronics so he could start a cash flow and plan his trip to Arizona…
So is this RP following the PLL plotline? I.e. are we going to Noel’s party?
I know Caleb is a bit of a loner but I’m willing to RP with anyone :).
Hanna wasn’t the one to go outside her house, but somehow, she had a feeling she needed to get some fresh air. School was about to start in a day, and she wanted to compose herself, unsure of what would happen. She head the rusting of the bush, and footsteps getting…
OOC: Sorry I’ve taken so long to reply, I’ve been out of the country.
Caleb watched the blonde girl’s eyes shift to his backpack and immediately became antsy as he realised how obvious it was that he didn’t have a home to go to. He shouldn’t be wandering the streets like this, it was ridiculous. He was bound to get caught! Getting so little sleep had made him careless…
He tried not to look too worried about his predicament and smiled as brightly as he could manage at her. She was very pretty after all, with her perfectly wavy hair and striking blue eyes. When she wasn’t looking so judgemental, he imagined she would be beautiful. But at the moment she was looking him up and down disdainfully and he fought back an eye-roll with difficulty. Pretty girls like this were all the same. Suddenly she blurted out about his new-guy status and seemed about to say something else then stopped. He raised an expectant eyebrow and she closed her mouth and pointed down the street with directions for the school.
He swung his bag onto his shoulder and nodded at her.
“Thanks. See you around.” He said, honestly glad of the help. Hopefully the school would be a better place to crash. He turned and began to walk down the street. Then he suddenly thought of something and turned back.
“Oh, by the way - I’m good with tech n stuff so if you need your cell phone fixed or anything I’ll do you a good deal.”
OOC: Nah, it’s okay. :D
“See you around.” Hanna waved reluctantly, wanting to say something else. Should she let him stay over? She barely knew him but she had that feeling of pity or whatever it was. Maybe she should just let him wash up a little. Being homeless is a hard thing to do. She heard him say something like gadgets and fixing, but that wasn’t on her mind right now.
“Hey,” She called out, and saw him turn around. “Do you want to wash up a little at my place? Mom’s not a home yet, and I doubt she’ll be home tonight.” She bit her lip nervously, hoping that eh wouldn’t take it the wrong way. A girl like her offering him to stay the night must have alarmed him a little bit.
Caleb stopped and turned back to meet Hanna’s gaze. It was a kind offer, considering she didn’t know him at all, but she might call social services if he went inside…
Was it that obvious he was homeless?
He sighed. It probably was, but there was no way he could intrude on this girl’s hospitality like this.
Maybe if he knew her better, trusted her a bit more he might take her up on her offer. He bit his lip in indecision. Maybe he could like…just grab a shower and then he could see if it was possible to crash at the school. He wavered on the sidewalk then shook his head with a smile.
“I appreciate the offer but…I can look after myself. See you at school.”
